We offer ongoing prayers for the residents of Maui who suffered greatly from the fires in August 2023. Many people in Lahaina tragically lost their homes and now find refuge in shelters, where they receive basic life necessities. The Maui Greek Orthodox Mission parish remains committed to supplying vital resources for these affected families. They deeply appreciate the generous support that has poured in, aiding their dedicated relief endeavors within the community. We are asking for donations for this urgent cause.

Online donations can be made through our local chapter by using the PayPal button below, or checks can be mailed to: St. Katherine Ladies Philoptochos Society (please write "Maui Relief Fund" in the memo).

The National Philoptochos, the philanthropic branch of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, is committing $25,000 to aid Greece with relief efforts after the devastating fires and floods. They're working closely with the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to ensure effective support. While the Greek government leads on-ground efforts, IOCC is finalizing a joint project proposal. They're also establishing a dedicated fund and urgently seeking donations. Contributions will directly assist affected communities. Support Greece's recovery by donating to the National Philoptochos Society at 126 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016, marked for "2023 Floods and Fires in Greece," or online at https://ppay.co/XqHyPUXSqVY.
